Bali is the land of thousands of temples, picturesque beaches, natural beauty & culture. It is as much the destination for a beach lover or party animal as it is for a history enthusiast or someone looking to spend a peaceful time in the midst of stunning temples, the ocean, and overwhelming sunsets. It is as much a honeymooner’s paradise as it is an ideal destination for a family holiday.

Tanah Lot Temple
Built on a rock overlooking the sea, this 15th-century temple is one of the most beautiful temples in the world. A trip to Bali is quite incomplete without visiting this stunning temple dedicated to sea gods. Watching the sunset here is the most popular and most breathtakingly beautiful thing here. This is one thing every Bali Tour Package will have in its itinerary.
Barong Dance
Bali is fascinating, and one of the most fascinating things about it is Barong Dance. Balinese women dressed in costumes sway to the beats provided by traditional instruments. The dance involves lots of masks, mostly depicting some animal, and is a simple yet powerful dance form that narrates mythic folklore. It documents the tale of King Erlangga whose army fought a battle with the evil spirits sent by his own mother. The king approached Barong who helped him vanquish the spirits by deflecting their spell. Every dance has a tale to tell and there’s so much you can get to know about the place’s culture and tradition by the dance and music forms.
Streets of Ubud
Ubud is Bali’s cultural town. The little town, surrounded by artistic villages, has been Bali’s center for fine arts, music, and dance. As such it is extremely popular with tourists, backpackers, and visitors of an artistic bent of mind. The town is bordered by posh villas, five-star hotels, and bohemian guest houses, many of them overlooking the rice paddies of Ubud. Take a bike tour around the place to get to know the real Ubud.
Surfing in Kuta
Kuta is your place to chill out and have fun. Kuta is where all the action is (though this also means the place will be crowded as tourists flock to it in hordes). The beach scene here is totally happening – bikinis, bars, and booze. You’d also find some great surfing options here. One worthwhile thing to do in Bali would be to try your hand at surfing. If you are a pro, show off. If you are not, rope in a pro (could be some Australian surfer out on an open-ended holiday) to teach you.
Balinese Massage
As with most Asian cultures, a lot of ancient knowledge goes into traditional massage techniques. Balinese massage brings together the medicinal knowledge of India, China, and Southeast Asia. Acupressure, reflexology, and aromatherapy combine to accomplish a healing and relaxing effect on the body. Many Bali hotels provide a variety of Balinese massages in the perfect of settings. It is also a good idea to get a Balinese massage included in your Bali honeymoon package, in case your hotel has provisions for it.
Kecak Dance
A highly entertaining dance form that involves only vocal cords and no instruments, the Kecak Dance is a big hit among tourists. Lots of fire, costumes, masks, and drama in this enactment of the Ramayana. It is performed at the Uluwatu Temple. Nearby is Jimbaran Beach is known for its quality seafood. But the place is expensive, and if you want to keep it humble, politely decline your driver’s offer to take you to Jimbaran for dinner.
Mount Batur
Whether or not you are an adventure enthusiast, a visit to Mount Batur will prove to be one heck of a Bali excursion. Surrounded by a lake, Lake Batur, the volcanic mount sees hundreds of tourists each year. The sunset from atop the mountain is a fitting reward for the climb. The Kintamani region where Mount Batur is located is known for its wild beauty and hot springs.
And when you go, you have to visit the Pura Ulun Danu Batur, Bali’s second most important temple. Dedicated to Mount Batur, it is a complex comprising nine temples.
